Brief History
The original "Pus Cavern" was a rehearsal studio shared by 58 Fury and Brutal Groove
It was a dirty place and earned it's name.
Joe Johnston had some recording gear and enjoyed recording his band, 58 Fury.
Joe had recorded some other bands in this original space, unit 19.
Bands that recorded at unit 19 included Habeas Corpus and The Deftones
An idea was born to open a recording studio with life long friend Steve Kawelo.
So a space 2 doors north, unit 21, was rented for this purpose
Pus Cavern North Recording was born around 1992
Over time the whole complex would be referred to as the "Pus Cavern"
The liquor store was "Pus" liquor
The gas station was "Pus" gas
I enjoy hearing stories about having went to a kegger at the "Pus Cavern" recording studio
There was never a kegger at the recording studio.
Those parties were 2 doors down in the original "Pus Cavern" unit 19.
Through the years we've dropped the "North"
We are Pus Cavern Recording now
